You already know the value of the Constitution. A lot of people don’t. A guy who has been paid to do it for years, even to judges who are particularly obtuse about it, might be the guy to do it.

John Adams was a Harvard lawyer. Granted, Harvard was pretty different when he attended. Maybe the challenge of going to a law school where everybody else disagrees with you is a good crucible in which to forge your committed views.

why would you distrust Cruz to uphold the Constitution? He made a living sticking up for it, and has had it memorized since he was 13.

Don’t be narrow like the liberals, who blithely assume that anyone from a school in fly-over country can’t be legit.
