Actually, you point out a factor gun owners should address. We need to prepare a cache to hide our guns in the event of confiscation. There are plenty of videos out there of police swat teams going house to house, in full battle harness, in New Orleans following the hurricane to confiscate firearms. This would certainly happen again if the govt. were to declare an "emergency" only the military and national guard would also be involved. I don't care how many rifles you have, if 10 fully armed soldiers show up on y our doorstep to take your guns they are going to get them, unless you have a substantial part of your collection and ammo squirreled away somewhere. I was thinking about a storage locker somewhere but I imagine if the SHTF those will be the first places that get taken over. Or would they? What do you think?
