‘Consistent Conservatives’ is an angry lot right now which is pretty consistent with breakaway groups. Recall Wideawakes when they split off over, what was it, Giuliani?
Their posts seem to be largely split between Trump bashing, Trump-zealot bashing, and JR/FR bashing. A few calmer voices over there aren’t venting anger as much as they are ruing all the vitriol on the threads.
It’s a bit surprising to see some of them saying that FR infighting hasn’t been this bitter before, or that purges are new. I don’t like purges one bit and they are hardly new as you know all too well. I guess they weren’t around for the Great Immigration Purge that wiped out a lot of good freepers, back when the Dubya gang tried to silence all debate on the subject.
Some of the CC crowd have been as guilty of fomenting trouble here as the freepers they complain about. There has been plenty of nastiness from both sides and it’s not surprising to see another exodus. This one will peter out after the election when things calm down a bit.

To me it illustrates the immaturity of so many here
To have such a fit over Trump to the point supporting Trump and Cruz or vice versa is not enough
One must detest Trump or else
I have noted though many a south basher is on the Cruz or nothing bandwagon
And Trump is very popular as number one pick in Dixie
His biggest crowds overall
I’m happy either way but I think Trump is more electable and unique in an instinctive way
