Never give up the fight. There isn’t much in the way of self-restraint nowadays. I get that folks want to win and that’s ok. But do we have to engage in friendly fire towards those who will be called upon to support the other candidate when the time comes? The vitriol, acrimony and rancor are palpable. But it’s misdirected.
Engage with the nasty posters, those who insist on keeping score, those who claim that because “so and so did it, I was compelled to respond in kind.”, etc., etc., ad nauseum.
I’ve seen some pretty vile posts, more so than last couple of elections and I admit, it’s discouraging.
If we FReepers won’t keep house, who will? It is up to all of us here, not just the mods and JR to try and help keep the threads and discussions civil.
With the exception of the obvious trolls, every FReeper is important.
