Semantics.
Kind of like Trump saying he could shoot people in the street and he would not loose any of his supporters. Is he calling his supporters stupid or just making a joke. HAHAHA
The difference is context. Trump made a joke, Cruz is making a charge and an attack. When you do that you better have the facts on your side or else you open yourself up to counter-attack.
The best attacks against Trump are to reinforce his liberal past as he’s on record saying those things. I believe he’s changed, but many wont, so keep hitting him there. This avenue is a dead end.
