Untold story: When both 1st and 2nd choices are combined it’s 48% Trump and 45% Cruz.
It’s “untold” because it’s irrelevant. Rubio, Carson, Paul, etc. will be there in Iowa combining to get a significant percentage of the votes on caucus night.

That is irrelevant because many Trump supporters have Cruz as their second and vise versa.
So Trump would have to drop out for the second choice to come into play and that is very unlikely.
You can’t draw any conclusions from second choice.
