Trump Says That Megyn Kelly Should Not Be Allowed To Moderate Next Debate
Young Conservatives ^ | 1/23/2016 | Andrew Mark Miller

Unless you live in outer space you probably heard about the controversy between Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump that stemmed from the Fox News debate where Megyn asked Trump a question he didn't like and he made a comment about her that a lot people were upset about. The jabbing has continued and recently Megyn Kelly said in an interview that Donald tried to "woo" her before the debate by calling her and sending her letters. Trump responded and basically called her ugly.

If you thought the feud was over. Think again.

Donald J. Trump/ @realDonaldTrump "Based on @MegynKelly's conflict of interest and bias she should not be allowed to be a moderator of the next debate."

There is no way that Fox would allow Donald Trump to boycott a debate and miss out on the millions of viewers he brings and they aren't going to ditch their rock star Megyn Kelly either so not sure what effects this stance will have. However, it is a pretty shrewd move from Trump to play up how unfair the media is which allows him to basically dismiss any question he doesn't like as unfair. Regardless of what side you are on in this feud we can all agree that we will be tuning in when they square off next.

I’m not a big Trump fun but he has a point. Why does the RNC allow their debates to be “moderated” by liberals? It’s not outside of their control.

“I shudder to think what the White House press corps will look like in a Trump Administration.” Pretty much what it looks like in an Obama Administration. The old saying about Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

ROTFL.

TRUMP can easily handle her, but he’s trying to win an election.

Shirley that doesn’t go over your head ... right?

Trump has been going practically non-stop with his rallies. He should have one the day of the debate instead of attending the debate.

Will that be how he handles uncomfortable meetings with world leaders?

If Jeb’s mother making a fully expected endorsement of her son can be construed into a reflection of how Jeb would handle world leaders, surely skipping a debate because you feel one of the moderators is biased can.

I’m no Jeb fan, but Trump set himself up for the whimp critisizm here.

The point that you missed (which I find disturbing for a fellow Freeper) is that the media should not be on anyone's side. That's the idea of an independent media. Kelly asked Trump a fair question about his use of personal attacks in women he disagrees with, which often involve nasty comments about their looks or sexual innuendo. Trump's later reaction was to make personal attacks on Kelly, which included innuendo of a sexual nature. Point proven. He also tried to imply she was taken off the air by Fox (supposedly proving Trump was right), but it turned out she was on a family vacation that had been planned for months. More lies from Trump. You clearly missed the point of my comment that Trump trying to control the media is as bad, if not worse, what Obama is doing. Try re-reading it and see if that helps. Many of Trump's supporters are as guilty of being blind to his obvious lack of qualification as the Obamaistas were in 2008. History repeats.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. By complaining about Megyn Kelly and how biased she is, if she starts picking on Trump she will immediately be disqualified as a party hack. Her credibility will be nil.

It is as if Trump has put a poison pill inside of Megyn Kelly where whatever comes out of her mouth will be ignored.

Trump is very skillful in this game and he will end up winning yet again.

RE:”TRUMP can easily handle her, but he's trying to win an election.”

He sounds terrified.

Maybe we should leave the fights to the men like Cruz and not scared little boys like Trump.

Trump has no leverage in this debate.

If he issues an ultimatum FNC will tell him to pound sand.

Lets see him show us examples of that tough negotiating like he claims he will do with Mexico, China, ... and make them cave with a phone call.

Lets see him get Kelly removed from the debate/

Indeed. The same populist forces that propelled Obama to the White House are at work in the the Trump camp.

Watch the Fox election coverage from 2012. You will see that Megyn is actually on Obama’s side. She looked like a blushing bride while Karl Rove was telling not to believe our lying eyes.

That scene was bizarre. I remember Rove kept fumbling with his laptop and Megyn the bimbo looked like a deer in the headlights. She did not at all look unhappy.

Megyn should get yet another hairdo for the debate - it’s about the right length and shape now that with a little gel and a blower she could have a Donald do!

Who benefits? Trump or Fox/Ms tampon will be out to take him down. Time for a different conservative moderator. Like Rush or Hannity?

I would like to see Trump stick to walking away from the debate.

He has been in a debate with her as a moderator and many others since. Nothing more to prove.

Time to walk away.
