There was plenty of information about this one, well in advance.
What the hell were they doing out there?
I recently heard an interview with a Ms. Linda Gottfredson. An expert on genetics and intelligence from the University of Delaware and co-director of the Delaware-Johns Hopkins Project for the Study of Intelligence and Society.
She said something very striking to me.
12% of the general population, when you ask them to read a paragraph and identify a particular piece of information in the paragraph, can not do it.
When you raise that to "find these two pieces of information"--a full 25% of people can NOT do it.
There's your answer. Well, the root cause any way.
