It's a joke but why would he say it? What does it tell you about what Trump thinks about his followers and whether they would object to his lawlessness in office?

And what did Ted Cruz going to the Southern border with Glenn Beck to pass out soccer balls and teddy bears to ILLEGALS tell us about his view of Amnesty?
90% of his supporters say they’re not moving. No other candidate has that loyalty. That’s why he said it but it was funny when he said it....nothing more.

Reminiscent of John Lennon’s were bigger than Jesus quote.
Congratulations. You’ve graduated to a HuffPo-level of discourse. (HuffPo is trumpeting this all over FB right now. And saying exactly the same thing as you guys.)
Humorless.
Try reading the entire excerpt. Read it slowly and carefully. And in context. That whole ‘they say’ thing? And “they” do ‘say.’ It’s a paean to his supporters.
Nothing, but it's very revealing about psychological projection of his critics.
Lighten up, Francis
You obviously haven't seen some of the stuff that people joke about here on FR - including lots and lots of folks who are Cruz supporters.
What it says is that Trump doesn’t have a stick permanently wedged up his backside, unlike you Cruzers. :)
Maybe he said it because . . . wait for it . . . it was . . . the truth.
