Instead, he took the one issue no one else would touch—the never-ending foreign invasion of our wide open borders—and said the politically incorrect things NO other candidate dared to say. Trump spoke of our loss of sovereignty. He addressed—for the first time in this election cycle—the murders, rapes and other rampant crimes being unleashed on our citizens. He incurred a firestorm of wrath from many quarters, but he stood firm in his message.
That is why he has eclipsed the others. That is why they seek to copy him, not vice versa.

Exactly. Cruz was having a cocktail at some bar in the beltway while Kate was bleeding out on the street in SF. That was no skin off his back. He’s got armed security and high walls around his family.
It wasn’t until Trump took that issue and blasted it with his jackhammer into mainstream America that the beltway crowd even noticed. Since then Cruz has consistently adjusted his position on immigration to mirror Trump’s.
That’s just nonsense.....No Trump didn’t wave his magic wand and suddenly we have issues to see that weren’t already there to see.....
No matter how much he spoke of immigration...which had been spoken by others long before he stepped up......it would have never happened without the media....they’re always the ones who push the issues THEY want to frame and ride....Trump simply brought the reality TV celebrity/entertainment factor to dance before the audiences.
Maybe it would better be said the public took notice of their celebrity idol preaching a tune they hadn’t heard him speak of before.....either or It’s working so far for Trump and a dumbed down America ...the same one we saw get behind Bo...just on the other side of the road.
