Why would a natural born American citizen have to renounce his Canadian citizenship? Isn’t that a little weird?

Yes its weird, good question, I don’t have the answer.

Think of this Beck said he would move out of the country if Trump get into the WH. Beck could go to Canada and try and get Cruz elected Canadian PM, after all Ted is a son of Canada, natural born.

Why? He has no control over Canadian law, or the circumstances of his birth.

Does the US allow a child born on it's soil to become a citizen, if it so chooses, even if it's mother is a non citizen?

Please help us all to understand and post the law(s) that you base your understanding on.
