There’s something about a gun that makes it a fascinating toy for a drunk.
His finger was on a Glock trigger. Not a very forgiving situation, and thus an unintended consequence occurred.
Most likely a Glock in 9 millimeter.
Yup. I’m not a fan of the Glock platform. Prefer the Sig or H&K DA/SA platform.
He's now been identified as Dane Gallion. Looks like he scrubbed his Facebook page two days ago. A LinkedIn page under his name has also been deleted. He's a married father pf two working on his masters degree with a previous conviction for DUI.
Best I can tell from this news report, he's a white guy.
Yes! I believe they are looking now not for that mass shooter per se, but the guy who carries his weapon in case of a mass shooting. And then something goes wrong....
Thanks for that info.
The internet scrubbings seem at odds with the official story— that he accidentally shot the woman while stupidly playing with his gun in the theater.
If he himself was the one doing the deletions, then cleaning up his internet presence immediately before the incident suggests premeditation, irrespective of whether he was a lone nut job, or acting as part of a larger agenda.
OTOH, if the scrubbing was done immediately after the shooting—after his arrest, while he is presumably still in custody, but before authorities release his identity—it would indicate that other, as yet unidentified people might be involved, with an interest in controlling the narrative.
Just a few thoughts. I could be wrong, but so many of these wacko shooter stories seem to have similar elements—internet scrubbing being one.
