In the NYC area I’m sure there are a lot of people who have never seen snow before (due to our open border); this was illustrated in DeBlasio’s election, when his opponent tried to scare voters with stories of the Dinkins administration. It failed completely because more than half of NYers weren’t even here during that prior disaster.
This was not a routine snow storm; it was heavier, and a lot of mass transit (as well as Hudson River crossings) was shut down. It stopped snowing around midnight, and I wouldn’t be shocked if schools are closed tomorrow.
