No offense taken; it’s a good debate. If Trump is the nominee, I will support him, because he’s the insurgency candidates’ insurgency candidate. Better still, a Trump/Cruz ticket is appealing, as it could be to a majority of Americans who are just as frustrated & angry with the Democrats and the Republicans.

BTW, I did vote for Reagan twice. Did not include him with the other Republicans who I supported and were a big disappointment. RR was important to me as a service member, as his administration brought pride and power back to the U.S. military after years of post-Vietnam decline. We knew he had our backs and wouldn’t throw us into conflict without clearly defined goals, a victory mindset, and an exit strategy. Beirut was the one exception, though Reagan learned a lesson and extricated us from a bad situation.

Thanks for your service! I thought you probably voted for Reagan... I was just trying to pull your chain. I voted for him both times also and was a very enthusiastic supporter. I have two letters from Ronald Reagan that I framed that are among my most valued possessions. I have the same disappointment with the other Republican presidents that you mentioned. Cruz would definitely have a better chance of delivering the goods than Trump, who I must admit I have my reservations about. But I do enjoy the way he has shaken up the establishment on both sides. They thought that they had everything all laid out as usual but then an uninvited guest came and stirred everything up.
