Ryan was maneuverd into the Speaker slot. Everything was great except Trump threw a monkey wrench into the works. Cruz would have been a sacrificial “conservativeâ€. Trump is not bought sold or controlled. If he wins he picks the GOP chair and runs the apparatus. The old GOPe will be damaged much as when Reagan was President.
Exactly. The Chamber runs the RNC because there is no GOP POTUS. First thing Trump does as POTUS elect is fire Rinse, guaranteed. Then he’ll fumigate the RNC building. Maybe install a few gold faucets in the place. But the Chambers run is over there, that’s for sure.
If Trump wins and returns a certain degree of formality to the White House, ie professionalism, the media will scream how he is looking down at the little folks. I for one want a certain decorum and professionalism in the White House that has been missing for over twenty years.
