At Gun Control Hearing, Sen. Blurts Out, “Let’s not get involved in Constitutional Arguments”
Freedom Outpost ^ | 1/22/2016 | Tim Brown

Posted on 01/23/2016 5:08:08 AM PST by HomerBohn

Following the unconstitutional executive orders of Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Soebarkah, Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) openly stated that she did not want to get into constitutional arguments regarding the matter.

"I look forward to...listening to the attorney general and listening to this wonderful panel that you've invited to participate today," she said.

"So let's solve the problem," Mikuski added. "Let's not get involved in constitutional arguments, and let's help our American people be safe and secure in their home, their neighborhood, their school and their house of worship."

See the problem? She is switching out liberty for security and the American people will end up with neither because the alleged threat against us will shift from common ordinary criminals to the criminal element in our government, like Ms. Mikuski, who doesn't care for the oath of office to uphold the Constitution.

The Constitution does not provide for Mikuski or her colleagues to provide any gun restriction or regulation. It does not give her or any other servant of the people the authority to "help our American people be safe and secure in their home, their neighborhood, their school and their house of worship."

The things it does give power to Congress for, they ignore! They usurp this authority and the sadly, the American people allow them to not only talk about it, but to eventually implement it.

Mikuski's statements came ahead of a Senate Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Subcommittee hearing, which heard testimony from Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who is not elected by the people and has no legislative authority to make up law nor enforce "law" that is not authorized in the Constitution.

Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) told Lynch, "The department is on notice. This subcommittee will have no part in undermining the Constitution and the rights that it protects."

However, Lynch basically ignored that statement and claimed that she has "complete confidence that the common sense steps announced by the president are lawful."

Lynch said that Obama's actions were "well-reasoned measures" and are "well within existing legal authorities, built on work that's already underway."

The problem with that statement? None of it is authorized by Congress to legislate in the Constitution. Therefore, none of it is authorized in the Constitution for the Executive Branch to execute. So, I have no idea where the criminal Attorney General Loretta Lynch is getting her information that this is within existing legal authorities, but it is not the legal and lawful authority of the Constitution.

Both Obama and Lynch should be immediately removed from office and indicted for their crimes against the people. Second, members of Congress who have cowardly stood by and allowed all of this to go on this long, should also face aiding and abetting these criminals. Enough is enough!

Sounds to me like she her electorate is saying the decision has already been made - to ignore the Constitution.

All the unjust and irresponsible representatives are in power because of an overwhelming amount of stooges candidates manage to appease (In both major parties). Catch 22 that is a hard nut to crack due to the size of the bureaucracy/subsidization strategies no matter who runs the Executive Branch and Congress. Hopefully the stooges will become informed (Every area of Congressional districts/States) because that is the only favorable outcome in all of this mess/debt ridden/over regulated/spendaholic government.

Every time Rats’n’Rinos talk about “common sense” proposals, you’re about to lose some more of your freedoms.

Mikulski should have a “Fork Free Zone” sign in front of her house and a lock on her refrigerator.

“This is the water buffalo’s last term as the leading lesbian leftist in the Senate.”

LOL! I always heard MikHulkski referred to as the Baltimore Bulldozer. Maybe that’s an admiring term.

What the Hell is it with grotesque Democrat women?

I remarked yesterday on a different thread about the March for Life demonstrators. A more wholesome, all-American, family friendly, and attractive group of people would be difficult to find. This is, in fact, fairly typical when you assemble large numbers of people on the conservative end of the spectrum, regardless of the particular issue that has gotten them together on that particular day. The visual and personal contrast with any large gathering of leftists is often quite dramatic.

We throw around the comment that leftism is a mental disroder rather carelessly, but it is true that many troubled people drift into politics as a form of therapy for whatever devils are tormenting them. And in today's world, these people gravitate overwhelmingly to the left. (There may have been times and places where they went to the right, but I can't think of a good example offhand.) Modern leftism is heavily invested in the grievance culture. It is full of angry people, many of whose lives are in considerable disorder. As a first order of business, they seek to blame someone else for their woes and fiercely resent anyone whose lives provide a counterexample that triggers their chronic shame, guilt, and sense of failure.

I don't know what the R/D breakout of the March for Life demonstrators may be. I'm sure a scattering of D's may attend. But I know culturally which side of the spectrum they represent. Any large demonstration that does not chant obscenities, that is big on smiling children, and that does not leave a speck of litter in the aftermath is one of ours, not theirs.

Which is a problem that is difficult to solve on a massive scale since many other States and Congressional districts have the same perspective/”need”.

Reminds me of a fellow who while arguing with me over abortion and euthanasia (morality) spouted “And don’t be using the Bible!”

So now this queer woman wants to do the same thing when arguing about Constitutional issues.

The left is paralyzed with stupidity. Problem is about 1/2 or more of the public is the left.
