Bingo. Also, even if people “know him”... why take a chance? Why didn’t the guy just check his gun and enjoy the rally? Why did he make an issue out of it?

Never mind stolen uniform. Out of all the sworn peace officers in the US, there must be a few who would assassinate a president, if they became invested with that notion for whatever reason.

Secret service has a right to control its own security detail and impose conditions on the audience.

I very much suspect that’s the reason for that law — because a potential assassin could show up with a bogus uniform and a gun. This has absolutely nothing to do with Trump himself, but it’s sure to be his fault in 3...2....1...
