Bwahahahaha! That’s too funny!
Well, mostly. They gave Bams a Nobel Prize.
Good for her!!

He has been 100% supportive of the 2nd Amendment in every -- every -- campaign rally. His sons are avid hunters. Do you think for one second he would nominate someone who would take away gun rights? To say so only makes obvious your complete inattention to anything he has actually said.
BIAS is "overwhelming people's reason."
Because he's been in DC for the past 20 years and has alienated a lot of people. And because he says he's conservative, but his wife is tied to the One World financial cartel, and helped write a proposal to unite the U.S. with criminal Mexico and ultraliberal Canada, where her husband was born. That's a novel way of getting around one's natural born citizen requirement, you have to admit.
“But why not vote for an ACTUAL conservative to end [sic] the same message?”
I know. Ted Cruz is the one I would like to see in office - and I say that even though years ago I assumed a president had to be born in the U.S. and have two parents who were citizens.
“in your view of economics, protectionism is conservative, and free markets are non-conservative”
I’m failing to see the problem with ‘protectionism’. The ‘free market’ only seems ‘free’ on one side and our side always gets the shaft.
I want fair trade agreements that aren’t designed to reduce Americans’ quality of life to that of the average Chinaman.
Protectionism and nationalism appear to be getting a bad rap. Want to know what happens when you throw those things out? The rape of Europe would be a good example. The massive loss of American wealth is another.
Why is oil so low right now?
Because OPEC wants to shut down the US oil economy. And it’s working. Last time I checked, more than 80,000 fantastic oil jobs have closed recently because US oil rigs aren’t profitable at that price point.
That’s 80,000+ people out of work. Tens of thousands of families without a provider. More people struggling to get by and on unemployment and welfare.
What would be wrong with dealing harshly with this crap? With protecting our people in this instance? With protecting the economy of our nation?
“Nationalism” is the other ‘dirty word’. It’s ‘xenophobic’ and ‘racist’ to to want to protect your citizens and to insist that immigrants integrate to preserve your culture.
These are *conservative* ideals. The open borders, one-world government crap is the liberal ideal. *They’re* the ones who pushed through the EU and NAFTA under the guise of ‘free trade’.
But it’s NOT free-trade. It’s slanted to punish western nations in every way possible.
It’s time that we do some preservation, protectionism, and nationalism and the GOPe will NOT cooperate with that.
“Gets the shaft”
In your view obtaining goods at a fraction of the price of what we can manufacture them for domestically is “getting the shaft”
You know what I call “getting the shaft”? I call spending multiples of what I need to spend to obtain goods just so that some union boss in Detroit can put another pinky ring on.
Do you seriously think that low oil prices aren’t hurting OPEC? The big change in oil markets in the last decade has been that the USA started pumping enormously more oil than we had for over a generation. Did OPEC start crying about that?? We added a huge amount of supply to the market and the price went down. You seriously want to argue that is a bad thing? 300 million Americans get to save enormously on their energy expenditures. That’s a good thing, and a gift from FREE MARKETS.
You don’t know one simple single thing about economic theory or practice. All you know is a bunch of protectionist dogma that is straight out of Dick Gephardt’s union thug rhetoric.
How do you propose to set the price of oil or shoes if not in the market? Should we appoint a blue ribbon commission to tell us what the fair price is? Maybe a casino dealer could decide.
There was no lie in that post. I DO NOT TRUST HIM.
Bookmark my post. If I’m wrong about Trump and his SC picks, I welcome you to throw it back in my face.
“If Iâm wrong about Trump and his SC picks, I welcome you to throw it back in my face.”
If you’re wrong, we’ll all be too busy and happy to be cruel.
True. And i’ll be happy, too. LOL
Like Trump, I have a very long memory.
Sorry for that, but I empathize with you - I do NOT trust Cruz at all.
Thanks. I’ve been watching lots of Trump interviews since my last FR post. While I still think his SC picks could be disastrous, I’m warming up to him a tiny amount again which would make voting for him in the general election less unpleasant to me. I’ve always liked much of what Trump says as a candidate. It’s just a struggle for me to take him at his word, given the things he’s said and done over the years. I have a feeling my opinion of him is going to be see-sawing quite a bit over the next several weeks and months.
