WASHINGTON -- One year from Wednesday, a new President of the United States will be inaugurated.
A new poll shows Republican Donald Trump leading Ted Cruz two-to-one in New Hampshire, less than three weeks before the primary.
Sarah Palin's endorsement helps Trump deflect attacks from Cruz over Trump's conservative credentials. But the candidates differ on several issues, including taxes, government surveillance and immigration. (Click Link for Balance of Article)

What acrobatics do the Conservative Trump supporters perform to justify this?
I’ll take a 10% flat tax over monkeying with the current tax codes, too.
Trump supporters are voting based on emotion, not facts.
I thought liberals did that.
We need to “justify” why CBS even EXISTS first.
LOL
BTW thanks for posting an article about actual policies. I think most of us are sick of the tabloid crap.
But after the IRS was allowed to target conservative political groups and the REPUBLICAN CONGRESS did nothing. After the Republican Congress (which controls the purse strings) allows the debt to double, after we allow Obama to run guns to illegals...and on and on How does a REPUBLICAN justify that?
I notice that "encroaching on the Bill of Rights" is not in quotes. Is that CBS editorializing?
Let me count the ways:
They love love love how donnie degrades all who do not kiss his butt.
Issues don’t matter, he said he would build a wall and deport with roundups like Ike. Never mind the next day he said he will fast track them back in.
Donnie is the last hope of saving our country - never mind things like issues.
He said he could work with DC and cut deals — huge gut laugh there if they looked at his recent donations to liberals which oh by the way mean nothing - he was trying to buy favor -— like he wouldn’t be on the receiving end if elected? another gut laugh.
With TEA Party members going from 20 to 50 in the house. Look at the coattails that come with Cruz.
You cannot expect a minority of Conservatives to do much other than blocking action, so long as the GOPe holds the chairs. You are cutting off your nose to spite your face. TEA Party is with Cruz.
The clip at the source clears this sloppiness up. The interviewer asks the question. Trump's response is not a yes or no.
I did not hear a ringing endorsement for the Bill of Rights in his answer.
We're living in very strange times.
Amen
The liberal posters on her are slightly insane.
Trump for President
In time of war, we have curbed the Bill of Rights many times including Lincoln suspending the writ of habeas corpus.
Before I board an aircraft, are my rights being violated by the TSA screening? Before I can buy a gun from a dealer, I must have a government background check. Is that a violation of my rights?
Deal breaker: You fund half your Senate campaign with Goldman Sachs money, but make sure that’s not known till you win.
Cruz hashed. A Senator for a couple years. How many bills has he introduced that have become law? O, 1, 3, 5+?
Seems like the Cruzers are much more emotional.
Ted coat tails more likely shirt tail.
Trump wants to reinstate the surveillance and said security trumps privacy.
“I have always come down on the side of security. To me, it’s the most important,” Trump told CBS News — even if it means encroaching on the Bill of Rights.
“I hate it. I hate the concept of it, but we’re dealing with some very, very bad dudes,” he said.
Can we talk about other people in history who have had the very same attitudes?
