Others (not you) were comparing the children born to American citizens overseas to the Cruz situation.
The child born to an American servicefamily serving near the DMZ is not a Korean citizen. Cruz WAS a Canadian citizen. Beyond dispute.
You make a critical point. The law abhors stateless births.
