:) You noticed!

"Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is going after Glenn Beck for throwing his support behind GOP primary rival Ted Cruz, calling the conservative activist a "wacko" and a "lost soul."

Why, when Trump doesn't get exactly what he wants, does his subsequent social media contribution usually read like a juvenile temper tantrum?

Forgive the bluntness, but--while I understand why people are excited about some things he says and does--why people TRUST this man is beyond me. Maybe the glitz of watching a pugilist attack their favorite enemies is be too much for the logic/reason of some people, who are reduced to whooping and cheering for "their guy, Trump", regardless of the probability that Trump will apparently do whatever benefits Trump... and that what benefits Trump may well be aligned with our beliefs only by accident and opportunity.

It's a bit like being happy that the alligator just ate your hated enemy... unaware of the fact that the alligator may have no scruples about eating you next, should the mood strike him.

I think we're seeing an over-reaction against the namby-pamby GOP-e (McConnell, Boehner, Ryan, Jeb, etc.) who've championed mildness at the expense of moral and practical principles (e.g. "Who cares if babies are killed with taxpayer subsidies, sexual perversion is enshrined with taxpayer assistance as a "sacred right", terrorists are given easy and subsidized access to the country, and the economy implodes; the important thing is that we speak in measured tones and don't offend!"). They've taken something more-or-less true in and of itself (i.e. malice against others is wrong) and set it up as a false "god", even to the point of giving it blood-offerings... so I know why sensible people are enraged against them.

But does this mean that we throw our support behind any wolf who offers to tear apart those fools? I don't think that's wise, personally.

I am reminded of the parable of the bramble bush from Judges. The bramble bush that promised the people that they could rest in its shade if they made it King. Just like there is no shade to a bramble bush so too there is no substance, in my opinion, to Donald Trump. There is not a lack of promises and claims to tickle the year though.
