This works for me.....Keep building him up with this poll and that poll, throw a few articles in saying basically his movement is too big to fail. Keep it up...
A small disappointment in the voting for Trump will result in a major loss for Trump.
Managing expectations is important. Because of how Trump speaks He will either win big or lose big, there is no in between.
Not a single vote has been cast and he has supposedly already won. Pride precedes a disaster, and an arrogant attitude precedes a fall.

Well, there are "predictions" and there is evidence. Yes, lightning can strike Frankenstein and bring him to life, I guess. But the evidence of more than 30 state polls and over 500 national polls, where Trump has not trailed (I can give you the 4-5 exceptions: UT, one TX poll, two WI polls, a couple of IA polls--but not now---and a VA poll, as well as Carson led once, I think, in one national poll) . . . well, that's not wishful thinking and it's not "pride" or any other Cruzer nonsense.
It's hard, cold facts. We can all (and do) dismiss one or two strange outlier polls as "not reprsentative," but not every poll from every state over a seven month period. I'd say that counts as "inevitable."
Learn it, love it.

The article mentions that only the message was for Cruz.
He has built up expectations for Iowa so much that a loss there would be devastating and a minor win would be disappointing.

"
Managing expectations is important."
The only expectations I've seen until this past week were that Cruz had IA sewed up and it was only a question of how badly he'd beat Trump there. Articles about his wonderful machine, great ground game, and so on only vanished when it started to look like Trump might pull off a surprise.
So, yes, managing expectations is important and for all the things people have praised about the Cruz campaign (including his special psychology squad), he's done a horrible job of managing expectations.
