The whole Trump thing is out there....
I expect to see the fake column that Obama had for his coronation set up next week for Trump

Yes it seems very inconsistent. If I found that someone at our church was behaving in this way... I would be very surprised.

Conservatives are desperate to beat Hillary. They should be but desperate people can make bad mistakes. All Trump has had to do is talk. That’s all Obama did as well. His legion of followers thought he was a messiah. Trump’s followers think he is a Messiah. I have watched Trump flip flop and double talk and frankly, it worries me.

We should take our time and see what Cruz has to say. Give Trump time to grow as a candidate

Don't know where you've been, but this primary has been going on since late Spring of last year. The candidates have all had plenty of time to grow, and to get their messages across to us.

If any of them can't get it done in eight long months, they need to quit wasting our time and find a day job.

It seems to me Trump worships the idea of “the deal” too much. He praised Mitch McConnell a few days back. Trump will make a deal with the GOPe. He wants to show everyone what Trump can do. He won’t be able to do much without them.

Its hard to swallow that a lot of people on FR don’t give a damn what someone’s past is or what their core principals are...all they care about is that they like what is being said right now now.
I can’t think of anyone else except Obama who has gotten that kind of treatment.

...it must be a more complicated bug than it seems at first glance otherwise John would have stomped this bug quickly.

A lot of Freepers who are IT professionals have said that this bug is a fifteen minute fix.

I can only wonder why JohnRob hasn't handled it yet. It's been plaguing the site for months.

Maybe Cruz should have stepped it up seven or eight months ago, like TRUMP did.

Yup, Cruz has been 'drafting' behind Trump, letting Trump do all the work

We have no need for the beta Cruz when we have the alpha Trump.

Then your memory fails you and/or you don't know much American political history.

Prime example....did you care that Reagan was divorced, had been a GIGANTIC fan of Dems, and as Governor of California had championed legal abortion, long before SCOTUS made it the law of the land?

a shelf life, like Cinderella...

I don't care who you are, that's actually very clever and funny. Jealous I didn't think of it. (freepers rock when they aren't beating each other to death)

I urge patience. We are electing a President. A few things have disturbed me lately about Trump. He repeatedly called Cru a nasty guy. I don’t think we have to act like schoolchildren to be one’s opponent. I also don’t like the idea of using 9/11 as a political prop.

At any company, the webmaster would have already been fired. This is a simple issue which should have been fixed when it was introduced.

Hear, hear.

I've also become deeply concerned about what's taking so long to fix a problem that most IT pros on the site agree is a very simple fix.

There's a partner in the business whose chief responsibility is maintaining the site, programming, hardware, etc. For those of us who love this place, it's just a tad alarming to realize that he's (for whatever reason) not getting it done.

Makes you wonder what else he might be leaving unattended. It's definitely a worry.

...a LOT of them have much newer sign up dates that I have; though some old timers have turned insane as well.

Newbies are, of course, automatically suspect, but one curious thing I've noticed about Trump haters with old sign up dates is, I don't recognize most of them.

It's been known for some time that political operatives signed up at FR back in the 90s, and that they've kept their accounts here, just so they can emerge during heated national elections to work their psy-ops on unsuspecting Freepers.

"a shelf life, like Cinderella... "

Obviously no one bothered to check clinton's "best by" date.

I would be happy if either Trump or Cruz gets the nomination. There is something weird going on with many people claiming to be Cruz followers here however. They are losing it completely and spreading rabid anti-Trump propaganda and misrepresentations. It is almost a little scary.

**********************************************************

If it continues after Trump clinches the nomination, watch the zots start flying....... and rightfully so.

Unfortunately he's starting to sound like a career politician.

Oh, stuff it.

In one breath you're expressing 'concern', and asking that we carefully study the candidates, and in the very next sentence you're slinging a ration of crap at Trump.

Just quit with the act already, noob. We see your type every election season. You're here to stir the pot, and nothing else.

Begone, Troll!

It took some work to compile that record and establish the fact that he is a long lurking troll, thanks. He/she will “get” his/hers sooner or later. They eventually “out” themselves.

Reagan talked a lot about smaller government.and supply side economics ...those beliefs and ideals developed over a lifetime nd he essentially taught his ideas from his fist forays into politics and continued till he died. He was tested by governing the state of California in very turbulent times and was firmly connected to the Republican party having come up through the ranks ..(Also he wasn’t elected President his first time out.)

Trump has none of that going for him...he is as untested in governing as you can get.and his only atribute as far as I can see is his mouth

I think the Reagan /Trump comparison is extremely weak
