Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin explained why Donald Trump, the supposed anti-establishment candidate, is siding with the establishment on the ethanol mandate. It has everything to do with trying to pander for votes.
Levin explained what crony capitalism is. That it is the state picking winners at the expense of others. In the case of ethanol they have made it mandatory in cars, even though it is proven that it does not reduce oil usage, because oil is needed for the production of ethanol. That it hurts engines.
The most damaging thing that ethanol does, according to Levin is add to famine and poverty in the third world, by limiting the production of food crops, as the land is used to grow ethanol feedstock instead of food.
Levin focused on the fact that Donald Trump is going all in for ethanol to pander to Governor Terry Branstad in Iowa. He told his audience that Branstad's son makes a living from the ethanol industry.

How do you get owned by the bank when the loan is against your own assets as collateral? In addition with a loan that is nearly paid off or completely paid off. A loan that is available with the same terms to anyone with similar assets.
Tell people whatever it takes to win. Winning is clearly more important to you than the truth. Some of us still value the truth more than “winning”.
It is, and lets wait and see. But lets also stick to the truth. I’m curious too.
Add Savage to the savagery against Trump: he trashed the Dumpster today over Sarah Palin essentially saying who needs her. Even Limbaugh was questioning Trump’s wisdom today. This is getting good.
So what? Cruz panders to Evangelicals by citing 3 Bible verses in a single Hannity interview (seriously). I was only familiar with two of them.
Without restraining government to the limits of the constitution things will not turn around in any meaningful lasting way.
“Until then it speculation.”
Correct, but some factors:
1. Obama always gets what he wants.
2. When have the Republicans denied Obama anything he really, really wanted?
I would absolutely love to be wrong.
Obama’s been getting what he wants with or without a vote.
And I can’t argue your point 2. But that brings us back to the above...
So a little crony capitalism is required to stop the really big crony capitalism... Is that the theory?
No, the theory is win the Iowa caucus and become POTUS. Some candidates ostentatiously praise God on Twitter to win Iowa evangelicals over and some candidates play old school Iowa politics to secure votes. It’s all pandering. Choose the flavor you like, FRiend.
Cruz trolling bars in NH for votes while Trump has rallies with 15,000 people attending. Now we know why he is hiding in NH. LMAO.
The Establishment hates Trump. They know they are hated. Do this is why they say Trump is with the Establishment. They are desperate get it?
Trump did that to secure the Tea Party vote and to win South Carolina.
The Ethanol was to secure Iowa along with the Governor.
Trump is already winning in New Hampshire.
Sorry folks but Cruz sided with the Esablishment when he reversed his position on the NSA spying.
Well he is the worlds smartest lawyer, according to you guys. Mush!
TPP will come up for a vote this year. It will pass.
Yep. And why would a “Constitional Conservative” trust a “liar” like McConnell with such an important issue. It’s hilarious to see Cruzers make Ethanol a dealbreaker while their candidate carried BARACK OBAMA’S water a few months ago.
Looks like Cruz is looking for free meals.

Of course, Ted has so many friends and has such a great record after all his years in the Senate, he'll have no problem enlisting support to end the subsidy, right ?
IF Trump battles the Chicoms on trade half as hard as he is fighting to get elected they are SCREWED. He plays to win. LOL.
I saw “Lodi” and it reminded to click over to hear that song by CCR. I use to hear it often, been a long time.
Agree 100%
It will be nice to have someone defend the USA economically once again.
There are some seriously important problems that need addressing ASAP versus some of the ridiculous and pointless minutia “true conservatives” seem obsessed with.
It’s campaign season. Stand by your man I guess is the idea.
It really is frustrating because if the man matched myth we would have a great POTUS candidate in Cruz. Unfortunately, it doesn’t.
