Sarah Palin’s decision to let populism trump principle is a fatal flaw

...

Shapiro is absolutely right, and kudos to him for being willing to write it. The populist twinge to the original Tea Party was fine because it was promoting freedom and liberty, smaller government, and sound fiscal policy. But the populism running rampant today, which Sarah Palin is supporting, isn’t promoting what the original Tea Party stood for. It’s here where Palin is abandoning the values she claims to stand for, all in the name of populism and strong man syndrome. She should know better, and it’s disappointing she’s gone down this road. It isn’t surprising, but it’s still disappointing...

So it is puzzling that she would endorse a liberal.

Maybe it’s because she paid attention in 4th grade civics class.

You are correct, something is very wrong

Thank you. i don’t know how this obvious fact is so lost on people. Why are politicos in Europe letting women get raped by Muslims, without even a wimper? How do all our candidates go to DC and become gope? It makes no sense. Are they being threatened? If so, are none of them able to speak up? Someone needs to start talking.

That’s a very good point: a “The enemy of my enemy” thing.
I hope he threw in a Cabinet seat too.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you believe someone should continue a job that costs them 2x what the job pays?

Why don’t we get some of the facts out there. The gope called Palin and asked her to come on-board a failing McCain campaign. McCain was terrible, actually postponing his campaign, leaving entire states out of the campaign. Palin drew all the crowds. I think this was kind of embarrassing to the gope, the VP was drawing larger crowds than the top of the ticket.

After mishandling this campaign, which, by the way, they never had any intention of winning, but didn’t want to look like they were totally trounced, they hung Sarah Palin out to dry.

If, these are the kind of people you support, then by all means, keep repeating that crap. But be aware, most of us have educated ourselves enough to know it is just that, crap.

The populist twinge to the original Tea Party...

I find myself disgusted by the bullcrap flowing in the media.

TEA party is populist simply because it is not led by a single person - it is run by the fricking people themselves!

The media is the enemy.

I blamed Trump for nothing, merely pointing out that he is an example of the kind of behavior you seem to think his administration will fix.

In what administration role will Palin fix the corruption issue?

Further information regarding the “something is very wrong” theme we discussed yesterday.

Why on Earth would these “businessmen” in Davos care one single bit about Americans supporting a moratorium on Muslim Immigration? Why would that even begin to matter to them?
