I hope you are wrong about Trump. No one knows. All politicians speak to the crowd, for this is the game of politics.

No, it is not. Some corn is producing 400 gallons/acre. ETOh is captured sunlight and CO2 extracted from air. These are the primary inputs, along with fertilizer. Plus, after ETOH is extracted, the remaining mash is a high protein feed for livestock. Corn stalks are also fed to cattle. Most corn is dry land produced. Engines last longer than ever. Have you checked car longevity today?

“Engines last longer than ever. Have you checked car longevity today?”

As noted by others, small engines are being killed. I can speak from experience after the damage to my chainsaw was directly attributed to ethanol containing fuel. It is almost impossible in my area to find such fuel, pretty much limited to tool rental stores. I finally gave up and have replaced all my small engine equipment (chainsaw, blower, trimmer) with 80Volt cordless.

End the government imposed ethanol use and let the free market guide.

Let's say that everything you are saying is 100% accurate. On what planet is that a justification for the government to FORCE others to buy and use the product? If it is as good as you suggest, then people should be clamoring to buy it without any government interference in the market. The problem is not ethanol per se - it is the MANDATE that Trump not only supports but wants to increase.
