“Or you can buy straight unleaded, non-alcohol bearing fuel for these engines. Works great, and you can leave it in those tools for a year or more w/o any stabilizer. Several suppliers have it at retail for non-vehicluar use.”

As long as you don’t mind paying extra for it!

You can find a list of non-ethanol gasoline stations here.
http://www.pure-gas.org/

That’s the other problem with ethanol. Alcohol absorbs water . You can’t let your vehicle set for very long before the alcohol ruins the gasoline because the of the absorbed water. IF you can get it started you won’t get very far.

How much field corn do you eat?

Corn prices are barely above cost of production. What do you know about modern agriculture?

Ah yeah, how is the cost of maintenance on that diesel? I have diesel tractors, but no more trucks.

Now ask me if I believe in man made global warming.

Point taken.

But I must ask, do you support the green, renewable energy lobby?

The only ‘problem’ I see, like O’Care, is govt NOT following the letter of the Law.

IMO, you want to see CHANGE, you make EVERYONE live under the rules set by govt. Then, sit back, and wait for the howling to commence...

Ma’am, don’t care much for Presidential candidate choice but your sense of humor is priceless. I like the cut of your jib.

Liberals, like Trump, lie to get elected. Obama told some whoppers. No surprise here.

More than you know about economics, clearly...

Didn't you just say, a few posts back, that modern US AG is the best ever? If that is so (and I believe that it is), then production prices should be steady or declining. Further, as seen below, corn prices (aw and inflation-adjusted) are NOT low... therefore, you are clearly wrong/lying about it being "barely above cost of production"

Once again, Trump attacks Ted Cruz from the left.

When will Republicans, and Freepers, EVER learn?

It raises the price of food and gasoline...

Those are weak arguments.

First, we don't eat feed corn, and they feed the expended mash to livestock afterwards as a superior feed than dried corn. Secondly, gas is now dirt cheap with or without the ethanol.

Thirdly (although you didn't mention this) it doesn't "destroy engines" but it may make a mess in unvented tanks if contaminated by water.

The best arguments against gasohol are; it gives fewer MPG and less power than straight gasoline, and the government forces us to use it.

I do believe however, that the argument could be made, that at some reduced level, it is a fairly decent and inexpensive "octane rating" booster for standard 83-octane unleaded...a simple and non-toxic additive.

...Voluntary of course.

I know some liberals who are practically giddy about Trump, not because they think Hillary will beat him but because they think he’s a Bloomberg style progressive, posing as a conservative to get elected.

Do you eat field corn? Farmers raise corn and it is theirs to do with as they wish.

I am a life scientist and I know a fair bit about health issues. The U.S. Is 5% of the world’s population and is responsible for 15% of world food trade. Where is your expertise. If you think I am a leftist, look at my comments elsewhere. I am not going to call you names. You are not my enemy.

Review what I wrote. Pb is now everywhere. What additive should we be adding to replace ETOH?
