One of the Cruz people need to take Ted off to the side and tell him that this guy Beck created a fraudulent document on Twitter that incorrectly showed Trump voted for Obama in 2008.

This is a dirty trick. A seriously dirty political trick. Everything Beck has been saying on his program aligns perfectly with being a dirty trickster in the Trump-Cruz race, so it's not like "out of the blue."

This is Dan Rather territory. Beyond Brian Williams. Beck's action should be shamed. I guess Cruz hasn't heard about this? Or....I don't want to think the other possibility, that the Cruz camp was involved. Cruz needs to be demanding Beck be taken off the air, and encourage that all Republican establishment candidates, like Cruz, disavow Beck.

I am just in shock that Cruz would associate with this fraud.

Does Cruz know that until age 40 Beck was just another radio shock jock and morning zoo show playing infantile phone pranks on people and knew and cared zero about political beliefs or current events or ideology or history?

And you watch, tune in to Beck tomorrow---he will position this Cruz/Beck endorsement/appearance as though Beck's endorsement is the biggest story in the news, and putting himself on some kind of equal footing with Cruz himself.

I have a few serious problems with Cruz, and Cruz doesn't need any more self-inflicted wounds. Does Cruz realize that Beck is not considered a talk show host or a talk show like Rush and Sean? That Beck is a joke with his nattering sycophants stroking Beck and agreeing with Beck on anything he says, and then riffing for five minutes on how brilliant Beck is---and it's so clear and transparent, their jobs DEPEND on this sycophancy. It sounds in no way real. They are paid yes-men to stroke the host.

Something weird is going on here.

Would you care to elaborate?

And you never cussed a day in your life? Let me give you a hand at understanding the present battle strategy as it is now unfolding ...

This contest is NOT about choosing who is the “most conservative” candidate ... But rather it IS about choosing who is the MOST ELECTABLE conservative candidate - William F. Buckley

If you truly believe that Senator Ted Cruz is capable of pulling in the same demographic spread that is presently being gathered by Mr. trump, then I believe you are either not really paying attention or else you are living in denial. For better or worse, Donald Trump possesses a broad appeal that Senator Cruz cannot even hope to acquire.

I understand that reality does not sit well with you and others here, but it is the political reality.

Nobody on FR, who is still in their right mind, seriously believes that Donald J. Trump is “the most conservative” candidate ... But many do understand that he is the MOST ELECTABLE conservative candidate. In the final analysis that is the only thing that matters ... And THAT reality is the stone over which you, and those holding a similar point of view, continue to stumble.

I am not trying to be flip with you - I am only stating what is patently obvious to those who are willing to see the thing for what it is. I suppose you may eventually come to that reality in your own good time - or not.

I’d laugh you to scorn, but then you’re probably used to that.

Tell that to the civilians of Germany and Japan ... Dresden, Berlin, Tokyo - and, of course, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. War is Hell, and the more intense you make the fires, the sooner it comes to an end.

Yeah, right - reality show duck hunter teams up with radio show quack ... What could possibly go wrong?

It’s becoming more evident that Senator Cruz is “the Apprentice” who’s about to get FIRED.

If it talks like a disaster, walks like a disaster, looks like a disaster - it’s a disaster.

Damn. Didn’t use the right film. You would have seen the demons flying into and out of poor Glens ears had I had the right speed film. Sorry.

I guess neither I nor Glenn took our lithium this morning.

“I only know this statistic: Survival of Constitutional government? Trump 0.0001%; Cruz 100%”

If you seriously believe your above statement is a reflection of reality, then you are irrational and there is thus no need for me to reply further.

Yea maybe too soon— but voting is in 2 weeks...

Voting BEGINS in two weeks, but that's not the end of it, it's the beginning. And I think that Cruz is well positioned to take the Iowa caucuses by a significant margin. What happens then? I don't know. I know that the winner of Iowa is not a shoe-in for anything. This is going to be a long slog that few are financially and otherwise prepared to endure. Trump and Cruz may be the only two.

Yea-— I will not be upset if Cruz is the nominee-— I would be a little more worried though, because he seems to have a grating personality to those not completely aligned with his political stance.. Though Trump also seems to be grating as well...

John, Trump has big coffers and enormous huevos. Very very big coffers and huevos and spends both wisely. The rest have handlers. Controllers. Directors. Stage hands. The rest don’t have a ball between them and we the people see it. The rest are done as you say, but this little dust up has left Cruz wounded mortally. Not a scratch on Trump.
