It's the age of people getting sick of hearing the same old tripe from politicians to get in office and then stab you in the back and accomplish nothing. Sadly, Cruz gets lumped into that group. He's also not very likable as a person which is hurting him.
Trump resonates with people unlike the others.
Warts and all, Trump is focused on what many Americans want: tough immigration, trade, jobs and the economy.
If the tables were turned and Trump was chasing Cruz, that wouldn't bother me in the slightest.
Hillary cannot win.
I agree with this statement. However my horse rides with the man who has been a consistent conservative throughout his life. I do get though that people by and large are fed up. Cruz is too intelligent for a generally dumb population. We can thank our education system for that when 46% believe Judge Judy is one of the members of SCOTUS.
Quite sad times we live in. Hell I bet ol Jesse Ventura would garner at least 20% backing. He was a successful wrestler and did make lots of money too.
