RUSH: About Trump supporters - "I don't think they care whether the person's a conservative, liberal, or a Martian"
So... There you have it... Trying to convince the Trumpites that the Donald isn't a conservative is a futile effort. They already know it and they don't care. And now we know - without a doubt - that Palin doesn't either.
Personally, I never thought much of Palin one way or the other. That she's also an opportunist, really doesn't surprise.
I have a feeling that he'll be elected president; if he is, I hope he doesn't let the American people down.
Good observation, Heck of lot of difference beteen a demagogue and and libertarian.
Just read their comments here. ‘Nuf said.
Well on another thread it is looking like he is softening his immigration stance.
I don’t know, I was a Trump supporter until I learned he was President of the “He-man woman haters club”..........

Rush is a snide, back stabbing, little fat man.
So... In regards to the single issue Trumpites, who don’t care that Trump’s not a conservative as long as he build that wall:
In an exercise in futility, I wrote Rush the following email:
Subject: TRUMP = TOUCHBACK AMNESTY. What if Trump’s follower only knew?
Rush,
So you theory goes (and I believe it to be true): If Trump says he’s going to build that wall and stop the illegal alien problem - then that’s all the matters to his followers. They don’t care if Trump is conservative or not. Perhaps not, but you should.
Anyway, so do you think that Trump’s followers have ever heard of the term Touchback Amnesty. Do you think that Trump’s followers would discard conservatism so quickly if they realized that Touchback Amnesty is essentially Trump’s immigration plan?
Remember. Trump’s going to build that wall. And that wall is going to be the greatest wall. And right smack dab in the middle of that wall is going to be this great big beautiful door. A door that Trump’s going to swing right open and let the illegals come right back in through. No. No going to the back of the line like they’re supposed to. Trump’s going to get them (the good ones mind you - as Trump defines them - which means most of them) right back through in an expedited fashion.
It’s kind of like how you say unions are nothing more than a money laundering scheme for the Democrats. Only in this case Trump’s touchback amnesty isn’t laundering money, it’s laundering illegals. They’ll come right back through that big beautiful door all nice and clean and legal like. In the end the results will be the same, the current American culture and way of life that we have now will be diluted out of existence.
It’s a shame you have for the most part glossed over this. Sure, you’ll can probably pull up some sound bite were you’ve mentioned it (briefly) before in the distant past. But that would be like the MSM putting the topic on page A11 once way back when so that someday in the future they can say “See, we covered it.”
Remember - The most significant way the MSM demonstrates it’s bias is not by how or what they cover, it’s by what they refuse to report on.
Rush... When it comes to Trump... You’ve been enabling a fraud.
When it comes to the massive positive earned media that you’ve afforded Trump, I bet that northeastern liberal RINO that ran for the GOP nomination the last election cycle wishes he could have been so lucky.
After 8 years of O’Beelzebub, people don’t care as long as it isn’t the she-devil.
Rush has got it about right, and is reinforcing my tag line (which is a quote that another FReeper kindly allowed me to use as my tag line).
The end of the passage is VERY IMPORTANT - if we lose immigration, then we get a permanent DEMOCRAT MAJORITY and will quickly lose everything else, starting with guns, abortion, Christmas, the ability to raise our kids...the list is endless.
So yes, I’m one of them. If immigration wasn’t an issue, I’d be supporting Cruz right now (over Trump). However, just a slight deviation from Rush - I also strongly support Trump because I think he can win purple and blue states, something that Cruz simply cannot do. Without at least some of those states, you end up losing, like Romney and McCain.
I not only want someone that is serious about securing the border, I also want someone that can win - possibly in a blowout.
I sometimes often think that Rush must know better about the federal governments constitutinoally limited powers, but is in the business for the money.
Somebody please send me a note when Rush mentions Congresss constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
Of course he’ll let the American people down. No President will be able to muster sufficient support in the Establishment controlled Congress to make the changes that Trump has promised. He’ll be blocked if he tries to secure the border or to place reasonable restrictions on muslim immigrants. The only question is how hard will Trump try, will he go to war with the GOP-e Congressional leaders, or will he just shrug and say “well i tried” and then just focus on a minor slowdown of government growth? Time will tell.
Trump was useful to conservative talk radio for a number of reasons, and I believe conservative talk radio tried to ride on those coattails. And I think they figured Cruz would pull away when the GOPe candidates began falling back. But Trump didn't go away when he caught fire. Amd while Cruz is hotter than he was, he's not assured of winning anything. And now conservative talk radio may have start distancing themselves from Trump. It will be interesting to see the Trump tweets in the next few weeks.

If he gets the nomination, we will be referring to this.
Read the following and do the following substitutions:
Snake = Trump
Tender Woman = Republican Voter
I have made the adaptations to a portion of it.
"Take me in, republican voter
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, Republican voter," sighed Trump
"I saved you," cried the Republican voter
"And you've bitten me, but why?
You know your bite is poisonous and now I'm going to die"
"Oh shut up, Republican voter," said Trump with a grin
"You knew darn well I was a liberal before you took me in
"Take me in, Republican voter
Take me in, for heaven's sake
Take me in, Republican Voter," sighed the Trump.
Cruz is my guy, but if Trump is the nominee, I will have zero problem supporting him. I say this knowing I will disagree with him on some issues.
I think he and Cruz are the only two candidates that have a prayer of breaking up crony capitalism cartel that exists in both parties. If he does nothing more than that, he will have done this country a tremendous service.
“There you go again”...mistaking a radio talk show host for a political philosopher, teacher, guru, spiritual leader, or your own intellect.
What does it say of Trump cozying up to the establishment today?
I love @SarahPalinUSA Without her support, I wouldn't be in the Senate. Regardless of what she does in 2016, I will always be a big fan.— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) January 19, 2016
.... “He may be right here, may be right there, but in the long haul we could be getting in bed with somebody that we can’t trust,” whereas a solid conservative like Cruz who’s also right on the wall, also right on immigration, also right on all of these things, is also gonna be right on everything else.
There you go Rush endorses Cruz again.
I frankly don’t care.
For those of you who have checking my old posts for years back:
I am not alone. You think gop stayed home in the past? I will never vote for the lying progressive who is successfully playing you. Frankly once elected I don’t trust him to be any better than a democrat.
Trump’s a patriot.
WOW ... time warp flashback !
