I think her and others have a different objective than you. They are not aiming to elect the most conservative but are looking for the best chance to destroy the republican elite. This is more of an Andy Jackson populist move than a conservative play.

I think you’re right. This is a growing populist revolution by millions of Americans who are sick and tired of the corruption and incompetence of our ‘leaders’, including those in the GOP, who are selling us out and driving this nation into the ground.
We’ve had enough!! Time for the people running this horror show to leave! It’s time to repair and restore America!

For whatever reason, I really haven't found it necessary to takes sides when it comes to Cruz or Trump. They each have positives that I could support, and they both have negatives I can overlook. We aren't in a position to find the perfect candidate for 2016. We are almost in a state of emergency, and this is triage. Let's stop the bleeding, and then fix the underlying problem. And if the Republican establishment is part of the problem, it will need to be addressed.
