I do not know how stupid he was or, what fool on his staff told him this was a good political move. And....unlike Governor, Nikki Haley, who immediately realized her idiotic words, relative DJT, she moved very quickly to apoligize and pander up to DJT. Cruz not to swift upstairs...he continued on!!! Cruz will fall in the polls like a heavy stone being thrown into the deep ocean!!! Sad......... Ted Cruz, a good man and strong Conservative has destroyed his political career!!!

What he met has been explained over and over again by him and other people. If he would have went groveling before Donald Trump and even the politically correct media and liberals and whomever else, he would have looked weak as can be. He is competing with Donald Trump for the same position. Apologizing and pandering to Donald Trump would have been the worst thing to do. He haven’t destroyed his political career. As long as he wants the job and as long as Texas stays red and as long as he stays the same person he’ll be a Senator in Texas for as long as he wants to be. Possibly even President of the United States down the road. If Donald Trump bombs in the general election or bounds out as president then obviously your argument carries no weight either. You are getting carried away beyond belief.
People here have a bad habit of equating Strict Constitutionalist with Strong Conservative, they are not necessarily the same thing.
Sarah is the only person in the GOP with a record of taking on the corruption in her own party and winning, and that is where the next battle will take place because we have not one true conservative in the GOP leadership.
