The EPA is at the very apex of FedGov evil and overreach. Why is this conservative candidate supporting such leftist evil? Is he pandering for votes, or does he really believe this earth-worship nonsense?

Thank you for referencing that article Nervous Tick. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Note that while I will gladly vote for Trump for president, Trump is a constitutionally low-information candidate, imo, that unsurpristingly does not understand the following about the feds ethanol mandate.

Not only have the states never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate INTRAstate environmental issues, but even if the states had delegated such power to Congress, it remains that the Constitution prohibits Congress from delegating legislative powers to anyone outside the legislative branch.

More specifically, probably the only reason that the constitutionally undefined EPA is bossing everybody around with legislative branch powers is this. Corrupt Congress is letting EPA steal legislative branch powers to make unpopular regulations. Congress is letting the EPA do this probably so that corrupt lawmakers can keep their voting records clean in order to fool low-information voters into reelecting them.

Trumps supporters need to get him up to speed on these things.

Remember in November!

When patriots elect Trump, or whatever conservative they elect, they need to also elect a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work within its Section 8-limited powers to support the new president.

Also consider that such a Congress would probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.

I am originally from the Midwest. With the increased use of ethanol, the price of corn and farmland soared in the past few years where I grew up. Production of corn increased and the price of corn declined and the price of farmland stabilized, then declined some. Earlier this year, the county said they were going to phase in a property tax increase of 50% over a three years on farmland. The bid price of farmland there declined well over 25%.

The government doesn’t realize it actions have large impacts in many areas and markets which destabilizes the economy and make investment decisions difficult if not impossible.

WHY? Other than blatant pandering for votes what good can this do.

I was sure Trump would wait till the general election to start full scale pandering and changing his positions.

He surprised me here. He must really want to win Iowa.

Oh well he all about the WINNING. Of course he would bend and pander so early. He even tells it up front, that he is all about the WINNING.

By the general election, his and Bernie's positions will almost be identical. It would simply be going back to all his values and positions he has had for all his previous life.

I have a line trimmer, a leaf blower, and a couple of other gas-powered tools that are toast because they leak fuel profusely. Ethanol is the cause. Send me the money to replace my tools or FUDT.

The more I think about it - this makes sense. For him to start pandering so early, I mean.

This will make it much easier for him to later say " That border fence isn't really that great of an idea. I've changed my thoughts on that. Not building the fence is much more of a WINNING idea. "

We know he’s pandering. But it’s a good question nonetheless. Is The Donald a global warming alarmist?

You’d think we’d know by now, no? Maybe he’ll give the EPA even more power? Gee, we just don’t know, do we? Or should I say, do you, Trump supporters?

When positions no longer matter, just the man himself, trouble is brewing...
