Donald Trump has been teasing a "major endorsement" that he is scheduled to release today in Iowa, and the rampant speculation is that it will be Sarah Palin's. I don't really know if this particular speculation is true, but I do know that if Palin doesn't endorse Trump today, she will endorse him eventually. At this point, only a particularly aggressive hair splitter would concede that she has not endorsed Trump already.
The last few months have not been pretty for conservatives who have long denied with angry vehemence the allegation that many of the leading figures in the conservative movement were only in it for the money and/or the attention. Liberals have long claimed that this was true about people like Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and a long list of others, especially including Sarah Palin.
Oh, how we have been deceived by the dulcet tones of arguments that sound internally consistent and which fit with our own preconceived notions of the world. "Nonsense," we loudly declared. "These people believe things, and we can tell you with certainty what they are! See, we have their books that we have purchased where it is all laid out!"
The going narrative in and around DC is that the Trump assault has been an eye-opening phenomenon to the GOP Establishment. Maybe, maybe not. I have my doubts about Mitch McConnell and gang's ability to learn anything, and they are moreover already cozying up to the Trump organization anticipating that he will win the nomination.

No bert, it does not appear so :)
Yes, you are right, I forgot about the ammo.
You are either mistaken or you are trying to excuse Rush’s advocacy for Trump.
Yes, Rush praised Walker on several occasions over 4 years but it wasn’t as you describe, not by a long-shot.
Rush loved Walker, and said he had THE blue print to defeat the left.
He repeated that phrase multiple times, more than all your fingers and toes over a fairly long period of time, before anyone announced their candidacy.
He's also said Cruz is the most consistent conservative in the race, it's clear he loves Cruz. It's why our local Trumpeteer bashed Rush on this thread. She's just doing the same thing you did, projecting her bias onto Rush.
Everyone at Red State appears to have gone off their meds.
I also admire Walker, but his decision to withdraw when he did gave me grave doubts about him.
It appears the GOPe put out the word to clear the field for Jeb. Walker was the first to salute and follow orders.
Or maybe it’s you who is sad
Plain has occasionally stated that she likes Donald’s willingness to say things people do not want to hear.
When are you going to grow up and live in the real world?
Anonymous posts are useless
The last paragraph proves the writer IV NO conservative. No true conservative would blame Rydh and talk radio when the problem is the RNC and Mitch’s boys
Post of the day
It isn't going to fly Lakeshark, what you are describing only fits Rush's daily/weekly/multi-monthly Trumpfest.
Sadly.
Go ahead and repeat it, but it still won't make it true.
Pretending the Trumpeteer isn't projecting the same way you did doesn't help your cause here either.......
If one accepts that the past is prelude to the future, I can see that. But, my reading of the board makes me think that the abandonment of Conservatism is not as widespread as the volume of posts would seem to indicate.
Intimidation does work on some and it takes effort to respond calmly and reasonably to some of the passionate postings that are devoid of much thought or real substance.
: )
I’m hardly “alone” Lakeshark.
He was a great executive, did wonderful things, but he was not a good national candidate.
Sometimes it works that way.
I’m sure you’re not, there’s got to be another angry Walker fan somewhere that you keep company with.........
They finally got it on Inauguration Day, when Iran released the hostages.
IMO, Sarah's jumping the shark if she throws in with Trump. As for Rush, he's an entertainer, nothing more. How can he express his lofty moral views when he's married and divorced so many times?
I'm now comfortable in my own skin, and have demonstrated that I can hold my end in virtually every discussion. I haven't changed my views: Cruz is my #1, Trump is my #2, there is no #3. Funny thing is, when I mention that, the response I hear most often is "NHN, I've been thinking the same thing!" lol
Stay strong, be positive, trust in God.
Would you like list of all of the conservatives who have been trashed in a very personal and ugly way because they have just disagreed with Trump, let alone oppose him? That is the modus operandi of the Trump campaign as well as the Trump supporters.
You list a bunch of people who are RINOS because they "sold out their base beliefs to get along"; yet Trump trashed Cruz because he refuses to sell out his beliefs and compromise with the establishment, and so "no one likes him" and he can't get anything done. And Trump implicitly argues that he is the better candidate, because he will be able to compromise and make deals with the Dems and GOPe, and his supporters all cheer!
“Funny,” how so many posters need to take it to a personal insult level.
Sad.
Nice post.
Thank you.
