Shabbir ​Ahmed was delivering a sermon at a village in the east of Punjab province when he asked the gathering if anyone did not love the Prophet Mohammad.
Mishearing the question, the 15-year old boy raised his hand. Ahmed quickly singled him out and called him a "blasphemer" in front of the congregation, Nosher Ali, the head of the local police station, told Reuters on Sunday.
After returning home, the boy cut his hand off, an act welcomed by the boy's father who told police he was proud of his son and did not want the cleric arrested.

You have kind of figured it out. He will be known to eat and take care of body functions with the same hand. A real disgust to others. Therefore they will not want to eat anything he touches, or touch him. A double punishment.

Well put. I'd go so far as to say, the imam's at fault for not speaking up -- who *knows* how much misleading the blasphemer has done? The 15 year old should have strapped on a bomb, returned to the congregration, and killed himself and everyone else present.
In Islam they will cut off ones limbs while in Christians understood from the beginning that when it is better to cut off one limbs so as not to sin that was an allegory.
