That was only partly why the Eagles tossed Felder.....it was over pay on a tour. The Eagles used to split money evenly five ways ,but Frey and Henley didn’t like that and kicked Felder out. Felder wanted equal or reasonably close pay to Frey and Henley and each side went to court. Basically, most of the songs that are Eagles hits were written by eithe Frey or Henley other than Hotel California, One of These Night and In the Long Run were co-written by Felder. Henley and Frey thought he was out of line and he was out.
During their solo careers, Felder didn't do much so when they all got back together, Frey felt that Felder didn't deserve a full percentage. Apparently, Henley had less of a problem with it and from what I read it was all Frey.... and it originated with the incident with Cranston.
Felder was by far the most talented guitarists of them all (IMO). Maybe one of the best in all of Rock.
