The night before the March on Washington, on 28 August 1963, Martin Luther King asked his aides for advice about the next day's speech. "Don't use the lines about 'I have a dream', his adviser Wyatt Walker told him. "It's trite, it's cliche. You've used it too many times already."

Alas, his dream approached fruition but has been kneecapped by those discovering its achievement inherently destroys the power they have in perpetual pursuit thereof.
You can’t climb a mountain when you’re on top of it.
I wonder who gave the speech first.
Does anyone have that list of Marxist quotes attributed to King? I wished I had copied them earlier....
Freedom, human dignity and justice come from God.
They’re not given to us by the state but come from within.
And we’re asking to be judged our character and not by our appearance.
I think its a great speech that stands as a moving restatement of American ideals and a powerful appeal to human brotherhood.
Today, when we have the race merchants dividing us by race and color, its important to take note of what Dr. King for at the height of the civil rights movement.
We’re all Children Of God.
Anyone who is a fan of Mahalia Jackson, and who has watched videos of her speaking or singing - can easily imagine the scene!
King didn’t achieve the power he did with “critical race theory” or ideas of historical dialectic or any other such nonsense.
He appealed to simple CHRISTIAN ETHICS. The logic and force was overwhelming.
it should be a lesson to any leader.
AMEN!
MLK the man was flawed, as all men are, but those words and the way that he delivered them will be remembered throughout history as the embodiement of the best human goals and ideals. Hearing it even today uplifts the soul.
Sounds rather apocryphal. I would rather read the story that developed some years after MLK’s assassination. The near complete and utter destruction of the Black family.
Kicked off by LBJ.
Feminism destroyed the civil rights movement.
I think it was a deadly combination of LBJs great society and liberal indifference to heroin. Then with heroin came cocaine and crack and meth and whatever the new destructo drug is now.
The best opportunity to remedy this was during the Reagan years when they started D.A.R.E and Just say no programs.
It would be interesting to compare the small % of blacks that vote conservative to the large % of blacks that vote progressive. I think somewhere in there lies an answer to the question hidden by political correctness.
That distinction belongs to someone who was barely two years old at the time. MLK was more interested in equal rights, hardly the makings of a dangerous man.
His dream was kneecapped by those foreseen by Booker T Washington.
‘Judged by the content of their character...’
As with Obama, people insist that people are against them because of their race, rather than because of their behavior. Here’s something I received in email this morning:
These are facts the world must confront, speak of, and solve, political correctness be damned, as at least 124
other nations are also coping with this situation. This
is not racist. This is survival for the black, and all other races, and all ethnic groups and all nations.
WHAT IF ALL BLACKS SUDDENLY LEFT AMERICA
(THEY ARE 12.1% OF THE TOTAL US POPULATION):
The prison population would go down by 39.2%
There would be 54.3% less gang members
Obesity percentage would drop 11.4%
Average IQ would go up 7.1 points putting us 3rd in the world and tied with Japan
Average SAT scores would go up almost 100 pts (98.8 pts)
Average ACT scores would go up 6.4 pts
AIDS and HIV would go down by 68.6%
Chlamydia cases would go down 57.3%
Gonorrhea would go down 79.1%

The average income for Americans would go up over 26,000 dollars a year
Amount of people in poverty would drop 36.3%
Homelessness would go down 67.1%
Welfare recipients would go down by 50.1%
DEMOCRATS WOULD LOSE 70.1% OF THEIR VOTING BASE

A majority of criminal defense attorneys would have to find another line of work.
The idea for the speech came to him as he was beating a naked white prostitute.
And his real name is Michael King, and he was not a minister!
