Pro-Huckabee Super PAC Airs New TV Ad (Aims at Cruz)

Huckabee raises questions about Cruz's Canadian birthplace.

Pursuing America's Greatness, a super PAC supporting former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R), launched a new TV ad in Iowa that briefly swipes at Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). "New York City or Dubuque, Iowa, there is only one Mike Huckabee," the narrator says after an image of Cruz appears on screen. The spot is backed by a $550,000 buy. (Hotline reporting)

GOING THERE. "Huckabee said Thursday that there is a 'convincing and compelling' case to be made that Cruz's Canadian birth makes him ineligible for the presidency."

Huckabee: "It was never a concern of mine until I started reading the opinions of many constitutional law scholars, who gave a very, very compelling and convincing legal case that this is problematic." (BuzzFeed)

COME TOGETHER. Huckabee said "if he's not the Republican nominee, he will likely support" real estate mogul Donald Trump (R) “before other candidates in the race."

Huckabee: "It very well could be Donald Trump may be the Republican nominee and if he is then we need to unite behind him." (BuzzFeed)

Huck hates Cruz because Huck, like Trump, is an open borders globalist.

Precedent Obama has rendered that clause moot.
Under the current definition of simply being born a citizen, if even only on one’s mother’s side, makes every anchor baby and Winston Churchill eligible. (his mother was an American)

I went to school in the 1960’s and was taught that natural born citizen was a subset of citizen and required only for the office of President. Must be born here to citizen parents. Reading the writings of the people who wrote the Constitution confirms this. They wanted no divided allegiance. If you could be anything other than a U.S. citizen, you can’t be a natural born citizen. No foreign births, no foreign parents.

Many people wanted the definition changed for various reasons. The Republicans had many more ineligible people coming up than the Democrats so they gave Obama a pass.

Having an usurper in office has not been good for the country, has it?

Sounds like what they are trying to do is plant the seed in the courts that based on public opinion and not law, Cruz is not eligible to be President.

Notice how no one in the media is sitting down with Cruz and asking him? He is merely a constitutional scholar and probably wouldn’t know something as trivial as the eligibility requirements in the constitution. /sarc

What a lie. Trump is the only one that will get a wall up on our border. Keep Muslims out, etc. Cruz is the one who opens his hands to Visa holder (who never leave)....we have a million a year already and he wants to triple that number. Cruz is the worst on immigration.

I would be shocked if Huckabee did that. He’s always been a staunch supporter of life.

I expected the Huckster to jump in sooner than this, he must have been busy conning people out of their money selling them snake oil.

The RINO’s like Huck circle the wagons to protect their NWO establishment club, Fox News exists IMO only to give them a forum to attack conservatives like Cruz who is going to turn Washington inside out and clean house of these globalist scum. Donald joining the establishment is nothing new, he’s always been establishment siding with Democrats or RINO’s...giving contributions to both...to Karl Rove’s Crossroads...but NEVER true conservatives.

Screw RINO HUck he’s a fake Howdy Doody dope.

Dubuque? Interesting pick, Huck. Since the Obama administration has ruled Dubuque is part of Chicago and has to provide free housing for its overflowing underclass. Like Chicago, Dubuque’s values may soon match New York’s. Which is a shame as it used to be a nice town with Iowa values.

{”Huck, like Trump, is an open borders globalist.”}

There are plenty of valid criticisms of Trump, but he does not appear to be an “open borders globalist.”

http://edition.cnn.com/2013/01/22/business/opinion-donald-trump-europe/

“My concern is that the negligence of a few will adversely affect the majority. I’ve long been a believer in the “look at the solution, not the problem” theory. In this case, the solution is clear. We will have to leave borders behind and go for global unity when it comes to financial stability.”

Read the whole thing and tell me what you think. It’s written by Trump himself.

The problem with Cruz is that he is a lawyer and a senator. senators make horrible presidents. They always have. Lawyers always parse words and make a bigger and bigger mess. That is their training.
