Being a Pariah to corruption is evidence of a known purpose to destroy the corruption of the DC culture. When faced with evil the outsider wants to strike a deal, the Pariah wants to strike the evil dead.

How do you advance your issue when you hold a Senate hearing (like Cruz did on Global Warming) and nobody shows up because they don’t like you? That’s not how you win. Cruz’s selfish and endless beltway theater campaigning for POTUS has alienated him from the entire Senate. Every. Single. Senator. That’s not how you build coalitions and win political battles.
