You are one stupid person. You also have the Democrat’s system down pat. Accuse, accuse, accuse, and TRY to keep the adversary on the Defensive. You are a bloody fool if you think your 2nd grade tactics will work with me. My loyalty to my country is not the subject of this thread. Cruz’s eligibility for the president is. I have tried to be patient but I will tolerate no more of your Bull.

Baloney. Cruz' eligibility for president is not the subject of this thread. A fact you would know if you had read the title of the thread. Let me set it out for you here:

The case for getting rid of the requirement that the president must be a “natural born citizen”

That is all the discussion is supposed to be about. You are the one who is unnecessarily injecting the subject of Cruz' eligibility into the discussion.

My view is that the standard in the Constitution should be changed - using the amendment procedures the Founders wrote into the Constitution - to clarify what the standards of eligibility are because they are clearly ambiguous and cause a lot of trouble and unnecessary argument.

Another poster said he would change it so that it said unambiguously that only people who were born within the geographic limitations of the US to parents who are both US citizens at the time of that birth (I paraphrase somewhat). I don't agree on the substance, but I do agree that his proposal would be absolutely clear and that, at the least, would be substantially better than what we have now.
