Cruz doesn't have to prove he is eligible. The burden of proof fall on the one who files a complaint and Trump knows that there is no there there. As for the "New-York" values thing, it really resonates with middle America in that Trump is on record confirming this. Bref, Cruz is setting him up to trip up and Trump is walking right into it. You and I know what "New York values" are and so does the rest of America. Trump is good and I would support him but temperment is what is being measured here and Cruz's got his number. IMHO.

While you are right, the burden of proof is inverted in election cases, using that as a claok makes it look like you are hiding something. This is a legitimate question, and the answer renders Cruz unqualified. If the answer was in his favor, he would say more than "this is settled law" and hope you trust him.
