In a weird way, those countries that were behind the Iron Curtain did not inhale mega doses of the soviet-inspired “philosphy”, multiculturalism (which was meant to weaken national cohesion). After two generations of this corrosive thought, it seems all Western leaders are ashamed of their culture and heritage. Not so the central and easterners.
Very interesting.
Makes all the sense in the world for what’s going on today. After Reagan humiliated the Soviets they’ve been plotting a major comeback. With Obama’s help on missile defense and nukes, they are on their way to basically restoring the Soviet Union, and then-some if you include the strategic, resource-rich Middle East.
Integration is possible when both parties want it to happen and work at it.
No invasion force plans on “assimilating”.
Quite the contrary.
