Fail to see how this could be - especially before the election. He has no standing and the courts wouldn’t give a second glance in his direction. WTP are now wondering just how and when do we determine who might/might not be qualified for this office If left in the hands of those in power, it seems we will forever be wandering in the wilds for years to come. How are we able to make the attempt to follow our Constitution if few in power continue to remind us that our efforts are for naught...It is what they say it is and no further clarification is necessary. And yet, courts do expect US to follow the law and are ready to pass judgement should we fail to do so. How is all this supposed to work again? Call me confused.

I think you see what you want to see. It’s all Kabuki theater but the supporters have taken it too seriously.

They were personal loans that Ted then loaned to his campaign.

They were supposed to be filed with the FEC because Ted loaned the money to his campaign and his campaign repaid at least part of it.

They have to be reported because someone could, hypothetically, arrange such a loan with a bank, give it to his campaign, and then someone else could pay it back or the bank could forgive it for political favors.

I am not saying this happened. I am saying this is the reason it is supposed to be reported to the FEC.

Bottom line is that Cruz is the only one out of the current field that doesn’t completely SUCK as a VP nominee.

If not Cruz, Trump will have to look outside the GOP clown car.

Hillary 2016 will be deeply disappointed. I'm sure they were just waiting for the right moment (assuming Ted wins the nomination which is like a 4% chance of happening).

No, he does not have standing, because Cruz NBC status has not hurt him in any shape or form. Yet. It will if and when Cruz wins the Presidency. Unfortunately for Trump no court will be interested in overturning election results.
It is sad that Trump, instead of highlighting the advantages of his future policies as POTUS over Cruz’s (if there are any...) wastes everybody time and emotions.

Farmers rule! That is such a poignant observation. A bit rough around the edges, sure to create objection. "Have you no honor?"

Certainly makes sense on the surface (but, of course, I am not a lawyer).

Look into Trump’s corrupt father and his sleazy lawyer and HUD. Look into Trump University. Look into mob ties and globalist ties with his casinos. Trump has been successful. I am not convinced he walks on water or that he has always been honorable.

Regardless, he has shown a proclivity to go chasing after liberal media issues involving candidates who might be a problem for him. He followed the media witchunt on Carson, as did his supporters. He is following, heck LEADING the witchunt on Cruz, as our his supporters. Apparently the media now lies about him but tells the truth about everyone else. Really it is kind of scary the level of control and influence he has over the behavior and thoughts of some of his supporters.

“I would like to believe Trump is filing suit to get this issue out of the way and Cruz is OK with it because Trump wants Cruz as a running mate, but with all the recent nastiness back and forth, I think Trump is just going back on his word.”

Sadly, there is just as much “projection” going on with Trump as there was with Obama in 2008. A lot of people just want something done about the border so badly(and, yes, it is critical to do it) that they are willing to justify, obscure, and/or even create in their minds a belief system around Trump that has no basis in reality, based on his actual statements or his history.

They are working together to get the issue resolved. Each are playing a well scripted roll. Both Trump and Cruz are patriots who love the constitution. The winner will be the American people. The loser will be O and the d party.
Take sides? Don’t divide our side. Support their actions. Support the constitution

The sooner someone files suit again Ted, the better for him. Cruz needs to get this resolved or it will haunt for the rest of his campaign (so about another month). Cruz should be thanking Trump and not calling him childish names.

Unfortunately for Trump no court will be interested in overturning election results.

Soros owns the RAT judges and the judicial system...shouldn't be real difficult.

-- He probably doesn't have the legal standing to pursue the case in the first place. --

He has more than Schwartz does. Trump is an opponent in an election contest.

Above i remarked about filing an amicus brief - all a form of "publicity," to force the candidates to take clear positions in the eye of the public. But perhaps Trump could be joined as co-plaintiff, arguing ONLY the standing, etc. procedural aspect.

I think the court still tosses the case. The only difference is the calling Cruz's bluff on "I want to get a ruling from the courts."

“The Trum/Cruz fallout has touched off a nasty civil war on FR, the likes of which I have never seen since I joined.”

It was bad even when Trump and Cruz got along.
