Trump has called Hillary a liar a dozen times. He says things to pod the media into printing his comments. He praises Hillary once, they print it, he calls her a liar a bunch of time and they print that.

Trump controls the media, that is his strong point that so many Trump haters are missing (or don't want to admit).

What Trump says about someone depends whether they are in the way of his objectives. Everyone is wonderful until they threaten his goals. Then they are dirt.
