This shoot the messenger may backfire and give us a blind spot to the facts of the matter. It is imperative that Rafael “Ted” Cruz put this matter behind him with a fair declaratory judgment about his eligibility. The more he drags his feet about this, the worse public opinion will be about his suitability as President. I do hope this will come out in his favor because I have admired Senator Cruz for a long time.
SCOTUS does not issue declaratory judgments. Cruz knows that, and Trump has been sued enough that he should know it.
