I would have liked to have seen PlanetSpace (based in Chicago) get picked during the CRS competition to use their Silver Dart re-usable rocketplane that was based on the FDL-7.
PlanetSpace did protest NASA's CRS selection.
They didn't have any flight-proven hardware, but they did build a mock up of their vehicle.
