Here's The Video Proof Trump's a Cynical Phony on 'New York Values'
Daily Wire ^ | January 15, 2015 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 01/16/2016 8:10:02 AM PST by MeshugeMikey

Trump appeared on Meet The Press on October 24, 1999, where he had several exchanges with Tim Russert:

RUSSERT: Do you think gays should be allowed to be married?

TRUMP: It’s something I haven’t given lots of thought to. I live in New York City, there is a tremendous movement on to have and allow gay marriage. It’s just something that is too premature for me to comment on.

RUSSERT: How about gays serving in the military?

TRUMP: It would not disturb me. I mean, hey, I lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life, so my views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa, perhaps…

"They won't overturn themselves" like the Supreme Court deciding Dred Scott didn't but people like me are looking to whom we elect as our next President actually feels about those and other unfair decisions.

I'm and others like me, are looking closely at whom we support, for it won't do us any good to elect a person who "accepts it as settled law"or worse yet, is willing to tell me that where he was born, grew up or lives, determines what he accepts as acceptable behavior. Hint: it probably won't be someone who brags that "he has nothing to ask God to forgive him for!"

Hint:

Unless you are willing to reign in the SCOTUS by way of an Article V convention, nothing you are thinking of matters at all.

And none of the other useless stuff you just posted to me matters either, so I didn’t read it.

More 1999 crap. Please...

Since 1999 have the values of NYC changed from what is stated here? If so, how? THAT is the focus. I like Trump and Cruz but I am a huge fan of Truth!

To: MeshugeMikey; All

“Were talking Donald Trumps SELF DEFINED...New York Values Here Already ....”

EXACTLY!

That’s why Trump supporters are deflecting from the TOPIC of this thread so much.

Thank you, MeshugeMikey, for starting this VERY IMPORTANT TRUTH thread. I hope the Iowan values folks read the article.

“..it’s about his admission about New York having certain attitudes and values that rest of the country might not share.”

You get it!

I knew right off, during the debate, that Trump was spinning and playing dirty politics. Trump twisted the TRUTH, but now the TRUTH IS OUT for the entire country to see.

“..I ove how he compared the New York Values ..to...IOWA

LOL, if that isn’t POETIC JUSTICE, I don’t know what is.

Listen up Iowa: Trump called social liberal values NY values in 1999.

Trump admits that his support for partial birth abortion was shaped by his growing up in NYC and Manhattan, yet today he doesn’t understand what conservatives mean by NYC values.

He really is the lyin’ king.

“....People change over the years.”

That’s not the point of this thread.

The point is many NYers are angry at Cruz for saying the SAME THING Donald Trump said years ago, 1999.

Personally, I don’t trust Trump because he changed on TOO MANY THINGS, but that’s not the point of this thread either.

We disagree, but I thank you for serving your country.

Just to remind everyone of what was actually said...

Cruz: "Trump embodies New York values"... (asked to explain)... "Listen, there are many, many wonderful, wonderful working men and women in the state of New York. But everyone understands that the values in New York City are socially liberal or pro-abortion or pro-gay-marriage, focus around money and the media."

That's what Cruz SAID... "wonderful, socially liberal, pro-abortion, pro-gay-marriage, money, media"... that's it... Which point do you wish to argue?

“Don’t have something older than this? ..”

But yet you don’t have a problem with Trump bringing up 9/11, which was almost as long ago as 1999????

Worse though, Trump should not have capitalized on a sad tragedy, which had NOTHING to do with what Cruz said.

trump changed the subject and so doing deserted the police on which he leaned

new york values are those of the mayor and the police commissioner who’s values place the murderer over the police. Trump’s values is pro murderer and anti cop

If Trump had conservative values he would not be pro-eminent domain. It was the liberals on the SCOTUS who voted for eminent domain. I fear the kind of judges a Trump would appoint.

Well Trump did say some mighty fine things about Hillary.

The Trump supporters, who are conservative, better wake up!

I kind of think they will, as more and more information comes out.
