North Korea said it could stop its nuclear tests in exchange for signing a peace treaty with the U.S. and a stop to annual military exercises between the U.S. and South Korea.
The North's statement carried by the state media late Friday was a repeat of past offers that have been rejected by the U.S., which wants Pyongyang to commit to a complete abandonment of nuclear weapons.
An unnamed spokesman of the North's Foreign Ministry called the purported hydrogen bomb test on Jan. 6 a justifiable move to ensure its survival against external threats. ...

Obama thanks you for your support. Never mind supporting our bad name among our allies.
How many American deaths are you willing to see to fight a fight others should be fighting?
10,000? 50,000? Unlimited?
I suggest you get your rifle and head to the DMZ if you’re so hell bent on fighting a war that is not America’s war.
Of course, you wont, because you are just a pussy who would insist others fight the fight you wish for.
“American deaths”? You’re using liberal arguments. If aught causes “American deaths”, it’s liberal foreign policy, liberal rules of engagement (versus “making the other poor bastard die for his country” as Patton is reputed to have put it), and liberal isolationism. Try convincing expansionist Putin to ameliorate “Russian deaths”, or expansionist Hsi Chin-p’ing over “Chinese deaths”.
You resort to ad-hominem attacks because you cannot justify America spending its blood and treasure getting involved in a civil war thousands of miles away.
Like I said, tough guy, if you’re so willing to shed American blood and treasure on the Korean peninsula, why aren’t you there with your own money and guns?
What ad hominems? It’s just an observation. Worldwide military aggression did not begin when the USA brought its forces on the world scene.
And you’re back to using liberal rhetoric by asking why I am personally not there, no less in a mercenary capacity. I could accuse that of being an ad hominem, but I am not the Commander-in-Chief nor do I have the resources of a large nation at my disposal, so I can’t take offense at that. By saying that our allies ought to stand by themselves so we can abandon them and only think of ourselves is a suggestion that the USA continue to voluntarily lose face; the rules are different for superpowers.
