Donald Trump's ability to draw a crowd has flabbergasted even one of left-leaning MSNBC's talk-show hosts, Joe Scarborough, who took to national airwaves to say the billionaire is beating all records - that his ability to pack a room with eager listeners exceeds anything even much-loved Ronald Reagan could do.
"I was at George W. Bush's campaign rally in 2004 at the final stages of that unbelievable race in early November," the "Morning Joe" host said, Breitbart reported. "I saw Reagan come to Pensacola twice in 1980. I saw the crowds. I never saw anything like that in my hometown before."
Scarborough was referencing Trump's recent appearance in Pensacola, Florida, and the thousands who assembled to hear him speak and show him support. Scarborough once represented a portion of Florida that included Pensacola when he served in Congress as a legislator.
"It's absolutely staggering. Here we are, in early January. I'll be honest with you. I guess seeing it in your own hometown, I don't get it as far as the size of these crowds go," he said. "It's like nothing I saw with Reagan. It's like nothing I saw with Bush. It's nothing I saw with any political candidate, what I saw come out of Pensacola."
Scarborough said Trump's rivals weren't likely to draw that size of crowd - that Sen. Marco Rubio "would get 150 people at an event" and Sen. Ted Cruz, "probably get double, probably get 300 to 400 people at an event," he said, Breitbart reported.

Physically you may be 74; mentally you are 11.
I sort of knew Reagan ( not really, but as one who works on a campaign does ) and even when I liked Ted, I never saw him as anything at all like Reagan!
He was my governor. I didn’t know him but did pay a lot of attention to him and his policies.
I never did a Reagan event.W came to UD in 2000 and had about 300. During his reelection, he came to Hara Arena, maybe had 5,000.
No new handle; not that i can remember the password to, anyway.
It’s nice seeing you, too. I love running into familiar people who haven’t turned into a mean ogre. lol!
Without a doubt, in terms of suspense and entertainment, this has the potential to beat the Rapist-In-Chief’s torturous reign of power, hands down. Especially if someone in DC finds the gonads to indict Hillary. Oh, gawd, i live for that day...
Just wait until the GOP-e tries to hijack the convention. That’s when it turns nasty.
I dunno. I guess i figure he can see it too, so if it bothers him enough, something will happen. It’s his house so i try to just wipe my feet when i enter and keep my head down to avoid the incoming. lol.
Having said that... Wouldn’t it be a hoot if this place had Timeout Threads, where these feisty codgers could be sent to cool off, together, all on the same thread? lol. Oh, and limit their posts to Twitter level entries.. What is it? 140 characters? I would go buy popcorn for that.
Although i do love the list idea. It sure would improve our ability to find good information if we knew which replies to just skip over!
Regan merely had to revitalize the Republican party and point it in the right direction.
Trump providing a rallying point for the party faithful as they trample the feckless sell-outs into the ground.
