I think you are correct. It looks to me that Cruz expected pushback, but then Trump jumped on it, causing all the lefty pols and the press from NY to jump on it too.

In the end, this works out well for him as it puts him in the spotlight as opposing de Blasio and Cuomo and having Trump on their side. win-win for Cruz.

His response is perfect as he gets to slam the policies that make NY so dysfunctional.. and puts Trump on the spot for having been on the other side of the line for so long (and maybe still is...?)

You are delusional, as most Cruzbots are. This is going to hurt St. Teddy Bear, Soccer Ball, Cruz.

Exactly. Liberal New York, which brought us Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator Mrs. Clinton and Reps. Anthony Weiner and Jerrold Nadler and Charlie Rangel (to name a few) and, of course, their current socialist mayor. New York with it's gun bans, big soda bans, and nanny state food police has very different values from the heartland of America. Those of us in the heartland know it; I assume New Yorkers are just as savvy as we "hicks" are regarding the differences.

You are right. Cruz can now tie Trump to Cuomo and de Blasio. Wonder if someone can find a picture of Trump, de Blasio or Bloomberg, and Cuomo together.
